The mission of FlashBelt is to bring together flash developers and enthusiasts in the Midwest to share knowledge, inspiration and build community.
This year FlashBelt will take place over 3 days, featuring 2 days of presentations and one day of workshops. Additionally, two presentation tracks will be offered giving attendees a choice between creative and technical oriented sessions. Also new is a juried competition inviting flash users to enter their work in various categories. The winners will be announced at the event.
The Audience: FlashBelt brings together an audience composed of web designers and developers, software manufacturers, animators, game developers, digital artists, programmers, art directors, creative directors, advertisers, video producers, teachers and students.
2004 Attendance: 200 people from 10 states, 150 companies, and 15 universities attended in 2004. About the Producer: Dave Schroeder operates Pilotvibe, a company specializing in custom audio production for interactive media and flash.
He invented FlashBelt after determining that the regional community of multimedia developers would be well-served by such an event.
